Ben Jacobs, a passionate advocate for health and fitness, he actively engages in advocacy and community outreach initiatives for the President’s Council.
- Entrepreneurship and Indigenous Food Advocacy: Mr. Jacobs is the co-founder of Tocabe: An American Indian Eatery and Tocabe Indigenous Marketplace, based in Denver, Colorado. Tocabe has expanded over the years, with multiple locations and a food truck, celebrating and promoting Native American cuisine.
- Promoting Health and Nutrition in Tribal Communities: Jacobs actively works with the U.S. Department of Agriculture and Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR), supporting the incorporation of local and traditional ingredients in collaboration with commodity ingredients to improve health and nutrition in tribal communities.
- Empowering Underrepresented Communities: He serves on the Minority Business Office Advisory Council appointed by Governor Jared Polis (D-CO) and is a member of the Rocky Mountain Indian Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, advocating for economic growth and entrepreneurship within underrepresented communities, particularly among Native populations.
