He is an Assistant Professor at Michigan Medicine and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at UCLA. Additionally, he serves as the Director of Student Accessibility and Accommodation Services at the University of Michigan. Dr. O’s extensive experience and leadership span family medicine, physical medicine & rehabilitation, urology, and orthopaedic surgery.
  • Personal Journey and Advocacy: Driven by personal experience, Dr. Okanlami is a passionate advocate for accessibility and inclusivity. After sustaining a spinal cord injury during his orthopaedic surgery residency, he gained firsthand insight into the challenges faced by individuals living with disabilities.
