Sunday is typically a day for rest, but not for Mayor Sylvester Turner! He continues to stay on the move and be present for Houston’s greatest affairs. On Sunday, November 3rd, Mayor Turner attended the Cigna Sunday Streets Health Event. Cigna Sunday Streets Houston is a part of the Mayor’s Office initiative to promote and improve the health of Houstonians. The event opens a stretch of streets normally reserved for cars and other vehicles to allow cycling, walking, dancing, socializing and providing a family-friendly opportunity to be physically active. Many health enthusiasts came out to enjoy Sunday’s wonderful weather and get their fitness on!
We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day for the final @SundayStreetsHTX of the year in East End!

Houston “fitness Czar” Samir Becic attended the fitness event with his family, and had his son, Max, meet Mayor Turner and the honorable Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee. The Houston weather was perfect and the city skyline provided the perfect backdrop for a successful event!
