  1. I have always known that reading helps you acquire knowledge, but I had no idea that it sharpens your writing skills. I really enjoyed reading when I was in high school, but I stopped after I graduated. Maybe I will have to go find a good book and start reading again.

  2. Great article. I like that you point out that reading expands your vocabulary. I agree that you learn more words when you read books that use those big words. I find it helpful to keep a dictionary close by. That way, when I do read a word I don’t know, I can look it up and know what it means the next time it is used.

If so, then I will start reading to my younger sibling as early as now. I know that the family has a history of mental illnesses and mental decline, and I want to prevent them from suffering that.
